Adam Bever
Adam Bever grew up in White Bear Lake, MN and received his bachelor’s degree in Music Education from UW-Eau Claire in 1997. He taught for 16 years at Unity High School in Balsam Lake, WI before coming to Rice Lake Middle School in the Fall of 2013. Adam is currently the primary instructor for the middle school bands and jazz ensembles. He has completed his Master’s degree in teaching and learning through St. Mary’s University in Winona, MN.
Adam has been playing trombone and educating people in music for over 30 years in some capacity. Adam has freelanced in the Twin Cities and Duluth area in all styles of music. Some groups he has performed with include The Glenn Miller Orchestra, The Benny Goodman Orchestra, Guy Lombardo and the Royal Canadians, The Four Tops, and the Temptations. He has also played with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra and has done commercial work in the Twin Cities and Northwest Wisconsin markets.
Adam is a sought after clinician in Wisconsin and Minnesota. He is an active judge for the Wisconsin State Music Association, and has served on several committees for that organization. In 2025 he was honored with WMEA Educator of the year award, and also received the NFHS Outstanding Performing Arts Educator for Wisconsin.
Adam is married to Julie Bever and has seven children: Scott, Kiera, Oshūn, Laif, Tangerine, Kodi and Levi. He is a strong advocate for adoption and using music to help with childhood trauma and sharing feelings.
