Carol Brittin Chambers
Meet This Year’s Composers
Carol Brittin Chambers is a nationally recognized composer, arranger, and clinician based in San Antonio, Texas. She is the owner of Aspenwood Music and serves as Composer in Residence at Texas Lutheran University. Commissioned annually for concert band, marching band, orchestra, and chamber works, her music has been featured on the J.W. Pepper Editor’s Choice List, the Bandworld Top 100, and at major conferences nationwide. A 2019 WBDI Composition Competition winner and 2025 TBA Featured Composer, Chambers has written and orchestrated shows for top marching bands and The Crossmen Drum Corps. She is also an Educational Clinician with Conn Selmer.
JoAnne Harris
JoAnne Harris is a composer, orchestrator, and conductor whose work spans film, television, and concert music. She has recorded at Abbey Road, East West, and Avatar Studios with artists including Grammy-winner Kurt Elling. Her credits include scores for Mal de Ojo (HBO), 20/20, Dateline, City of Lies, The Infiltrator, and Hulu’s Life and Beth. A 2020 Vandoren Emerging Artist Composer and 2015 ASCAP “Composer to Watch,” her concert works have been performed by university and professional ensembles nationwide. Harris teaches media scoring at CUNY Brooklyn College, orchestration at Catholic University, and serves on the Society of Composers and Lyricists NY steering committee.
