ComMission Possible
The ComMission Possible Project invites student ensembles to become co-creators in the commissioning process. Rather than just receive a new piece, participating groups explore a theme, generate creative ideas, and submit concepts that may shape the final composition.
Along the way they receive a specialized “Creativity Curriculum,” access to video content from the composer, digital copies of the commissioned work, and the chance — for one selected school — to host the composer for a residency and premiere the piece. Learn More >
Rising Music Educator Program (RMEP)
Nearly 40% of new teachers in Wisconsin leave the profession or the state within six years (Wisconsin DPI, 2024). To help change that trend, the Beyond The Notes Music Festival created the Rising Music Educators Program—an immersive experience designed to inspire and support the next generation of music educators.
Through observation, collaboration, and mentorship with expert educators and national leaders, participants gain real-world insight, practical strategies, and lasting connections to strengthen their teaching careers. Learn More >
“It is a fantastic opportunity for students to perform for other students and a panel of clinicians. Having the opportunity to work with some renowned clinicians was really beneficial for students to get a fresh perspective on their music and for teachers to get some new ideas.”
